XL on Google

Google has recently launched Google's University Search. It enables people to narrow your search to a specific school website. Try it for things like admissions information, course schedules or alumni news.

Most of the IIT's, IIM's etc are already listed over there. Google is encouraging universities to nominate them to be added to Google's list of University Searches. But they need a critical number of requests before they do so.

Request you all to follow the following link and fill up a small form in establishing the XL brand.http://www.google.com/options/mycampus.html

Put in the University name XLRI, Jamshedpur and the University URL as http://www.xlri.ac.in

The rest is pretty much obvious.

Movements

Ok, I thought this would be a better place to post these details. Some recent movements

Murali Swaminathan (86 PMIR) has moved to Bangalore to head HR for 24/7 Customer. He was earlier at SPIC. The news item is here.

Ramya Sampath Sharma (97 PMIR) has moved to Intel. She was earlier doing freelance HR consulting work.

Diptakirti Chaudhuri (99 BMD) after an innings with Pepsi in Bangalore is moving to Marico in Hyderabad. However, he'll keep frequently dropping into Bangalore.

Bangalore XLers in the news

The XL Alumni Blog focusses on the media attention that Bangalore alumni Gautam Sinha (writing about entreprenuership), Rekha and Vijayan Menon (on the Bangalore Wine Club's founders) were garnering, and also what Gautam Reddy and Mustafa Moochala were upto !
